Moneybookers Shines at EGR B2B Awards
The first eGaming Review (EGR) B2B awards were announced last week at London’s Old Billingsgate during the EGR Live 2010. The eligible candidates were companies that offer a B2B product in the online gaming industry. Awards were given in categories like betting and gaming software, networks, mobile, payments, recruitment, marketing, IT & infrastructure.
There were five awards open to companies offering payments solutions and Moneybookers was short listed in all five. It was the only company to have this honor. The competition was stiff and ultimately Moneybookers won only won award but that does not diminish its achievement in any way. The award won by Moneybookers was for the Payments Company of the Year. The other popular short listed contestants in this category were Neovia Financial and Ukash.
Two other awards were directly related to payments processing for the online gaming industry. One was for Innovations in Payments Solutions. Along with Moneybookers, there were Neovia Financial, Ukash and EntroPay in the fray. But the award went to CQR Payment Solutions and Spin3 received a special mention. The second award was for the Regional Payments Solutions of the Year. Here EntroPay stole a march over Moneybookers and Neovia Financial.
Fraud prevention has taken center stage in the online gambling industry and there was an award for Fraud and Compliance Solution of the Year. The short listed companies were mostly those whose main business is in this field. It speaks volumes of the ability and outlook of Moneybookers to have received a nomination in this field. The award was won by the GB Group. The final award covered all service providers and was for Services Rising Star of the Year. Moneybookers was the only payments company in the short list. The award went to Computrad Europe.
