Ukash Expands Base in France
Ukash was the fastest expanding pre-paid online casino payment option in 2009. It has started the New Year in the same fashion, by announcing a partnership with the French issuing network la SAF. Now Ukash customers all over France will directly be able to purchase e-cash vouchers through la SAF. La SAF and its subsidiaries operate 15,000 point of sale terminals, mostly in tobacconists and newsagents. Ukash vouchers will be available for sale there. The Ukash logo will be displayed at these retail outlets to let online players know that they can purchase the vouchers there. The complete list of Ukash locations in France can be obtained through the Ukash location finder at www.ukash.com.
The printed paper voucher can be purchased for cash. It contains a code that can be redeemed at any online casino that accepts Ukash as a deposit option. Ukash vouchers are very convenient because they can be combined spilt or converted. They can also be used for making online purchases other than at online casinos. The vouchers are available in denominations of €20, €50, €100 and €200.
So far Ukash vouchers have been available in France through the prepaid Toneo card and online through a secure bank transfer. These options are still available. Globally Ukash is available from more than 300,000 physical outlets across 29 countries.
Mark Chirnside, Chief Executive Officer, Ukash, said, “Since Ukash first launched in France, it has proven to be a very popular payment method, and our new partnership with la SAF is evidence of the rising consumer need in the country to spend cash online. Now consumers can purchase Ukash conveniently from physical locations across the country, allowing more people to benefit from the simplicity and privacy of shopping online with cash.”
